Fort Wayne Derby Girls to Host Season Opener on January 9, 2010

(December 15, 2009) The Fort Wayne Derby Girls, a non-profit, semi-professional roller derby league, is gearing up for its fifth season in Fort Wayne and second at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Expo Center. The league kicks off its season on January 9, 2010, in a double-header event against Windy City’s The Fury and The BrewCity Bruisers. The doors open at 5pm and the first bout, featuring Fort Wayne’s SWAT Team vs. Windy City’s The Fury, will start at 5:30pm, with the headlining bout featuring Fort Wayne’s All Stars, the Bomb Squad, vs. The BrewCity Bruisers All Stars from Milwaukee, WI, to follow. Tickets for the event are $10, plus Ticketmaster fees, or 2 for $20, and can be purchased at the Coliseum box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, at all Ticketmaster outlets or charge-by-phone at (800) 745-3000.

Tickets are now on sale for all 2010 bouts at the Coliseum.
