Black Pine Animal Sanctuary in Albion will begin it's 15th year welcoming visitors to the non-profit exotic animal refuge this Saturday, May 1.
The sanctuary will resume seasonal tours, the proceeds of which benefit the care of more than 80 former "pets" and retired performers including Bengal tigers, lions, bears, monkeys, birds, reptiles and more.
Visitors may tour and meet the animals weekends in May from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Beginning Memorial Day the sanctuary is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All tours are guided by, monitored by members of Black Pine's largely volunteer staff.
Admission rates are $6 to $7 per person ages three and up. Mothers will be admitted free on Mother's Day with one additional paid guest admission. For more information visit Black Pine's web site at www.blackpineanimalpark.com or call (260) 636-7383.
